Why we are doing this
Nothing warns you first.
You lose it quietly, and you find out far too late.
A glass of water spilled over the laptop. The hard drive in the closet stops spinning. A phone goes into the water at the beach and everything that lived only on that phone goes with it.
Sometimes it is slower and worse. A pipe bursts above the storage unit and your album comes out furred with mold. A house fire takes the frames off the wall. A card expires, a cloud account lapses, and a company you never think about deletes the folder exactly on schedule.
The cruel part is the timing. You do not notice on the day it happens. You notice years later, when someone in those photographs is gone and somebody asks you for a picture from the ceremony, and you have nothing to give them.

Why we keep everything
The amber scent of memory.
Three generations of photographers.
Jose grew up surrounded by film negatives in the photo studio his grandfather pioneered in Moca, Dominican Republic. He can still describe the smell of them, sharp and chemical, drifting out from behind the darkroom curtain. Weddings, baptisms, portraits of people long gone, every frame sleeved in paper and kept, because in that studio preserving the negative was understood to be the only surviving copy of a moment.
We inherited the habit. Every wedding we have photographed since 2008 went into an archive kept the same way, at our own cost. It was never in a contract. Nobody asked us to hold their files for life, and we never promised that we would.
We kept them anyway. But a hard drive in our studio is still a lone backup inside a building that can be gone at any time. We concluded: after all these years your wedding is safer in your hands than in ours.

- 05Photographs are archived as high-resolution JPGs. We never kept the camera RAW files (CR2 or CR3), so they cannot be included.
- 06Every photograph is delivered clean, with no watermark of any kind.
- 07We were never obligated to hold this archive. We kept it because we care about the work, and we will do everything we can to find yours and deliver it in the best quality available.
- 08Shipping, handling and a USPS tracking number are included in the price.
